The Challenge
Many farmers in India face cash flow challenges, especially during planting seasons when they need fertilizers and inputs but haven't yet sold their produce. Traditional barter systems are inefficient, lack transparency, and make it difficult to find suitable trading partners. There was a need for a modern digital platform to facilitate fair and transparent barter exchanges.
Our Solution
We developed a digital marketplace that connects farmers with suppliers and other farmers for barter exchanges. The platform includes a valuation system that determines fair exchange rates, a matching algorithm to connect compatible traders, and a secure transaction system. Farmers can list their produce, browse available inputs, negotiate exchanges, and complete transactions all through the mobile and web applications.
